Prosecution seeks 7yr jail for Khaleda

The prosecution has asked for a 7-year jail sentence for BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in the Zia Charitable Trust corruption case. They claimed that they have proven that she was involved in corruption.
Chief Prosecutor Mosharraf Hossain Kajal said that they have proven beyond doubt that Khaleda abused power and amassed wealth through the Zia Charitable Trust.
On 8th August 2011, the Anti-Corruption Commission filed the case against her and 4 other people at Tejgaon Police Station. They accused them of raising funds for the trust from unknown sources through abuse of power
